Meet the Founder

Legal counsel shaped by financial-market infrastructure.

Mihai Covrig is a solicitor of England and Wales with more than six years’ in-house legal experience at Fnality, a business developing blockchain-based financial-market infrastructure, working through its growth from start-up to established business.

His commercial legal work has spanned institutional customer and supplier agreements, from everyday operating contracts to agreements with annual values in the millions of pounds, covering the commercial, intellectual-property and data-protection commitments underpinning the business.

He helped develop board and shareholder processes, presented legal matters to the board, and has acted as a point of contact for the shareholders. His corporate experience includes multiple equity and debt fundraisings involving up to 24 counterparties, alongside coordination of external counsel on regulatory and cross-border matters.

Beyond his in-house role, Mihai has helped digital-asset and technology companies understand the regulatory implications of their products, structure their businesses and establish the contractual arrangements supporting their operations.

That experience shapes Covrig Counsel’s approach: understand the business, give clear advice, get the work done and carry what has been learned into the next matter.

Why I came up with this model

Your business needs a legal function, not just a day in someone’s diary.

Legal work arrives throughout the week. Contracts need progressing, questions need answering and decisions need following through. Reserving a lawyer’s time does not, by itself, join that work together.

Covrig Counsel takes responsibility for both the work and the continuity around it: managing priorities, retaining agreed positions and turning individual matters into useful company knowledge. You get legal support that builds your company’s know-how, without having to build an in-house team.

Our professional obligations

We uphold high professional standards.

Your legal work would be led by an SRA-regulated solicitor of England and Wales. They remain bound by professional duties, including confidentiality, independence and managing conflicts of interest.

We identify the solicitor responsible for your matter before work begins. Covrig Counsel Ltd itself is not an SRA-authorised law firm.
