How Tokens work
Plan the work.
Not the lawyer’s hours.
Tokens show how much substantive legal work your plan includes. Your allowance is available across your own three-month service quarter, so you can use more in a busy month and less in a quiet one. The monthly fee also covers the continuing organisation of requests, decisions and company context.

Illustrative only: these are not guaranteed Token prices or a plan recommendation. We confirm the estimate for each request before work starts. A complex contract, extra negotiation rounds, specialist dependency or urgent deadline may change it. Brief questions use no Tokens only where we can answer within scope from existing knowledge, without substantive research or document review.
What usually uses no Tokens
Not every quick question needs a meter running.
Brief in-scope questions we can answer from existing knowledge, without substantive research or document review, ordinarily use no Tokens. A clarification on work already underway that takes under 15 minutes ordinarily uses no extra Tokens either. Related small questions may be grouped when they amount to one substantive request.
The guide above is based on one defined output and ordinary facts. More involved work is estimated when we know the documents, decision, counterparties and timetable.
Capacity with control
A quarter’s capacity.
Flexibility month to month.
Your own three-month service quarters begin on your agreed service-start date and will not necessarily coincide with calendar quarters. The full quarterly allowance is available from day one, with work scheduled around agreed priorities and the plan’s active-matter limits. Unused Tokens expire at the end of each service quarter; they do not roll into the next quarter. Fees are billed monthly from your service-start date.
We estimate the number of Tokens for each substantive request before starting. There is no separate setup fee: onboarding uses an agreed part of your first quarter’s allowance. If more work arises, you can reprioritise or approve additional capacity or a separate project. Nothing extra is charged without approval.
